MINK

I’m a little late with my review but I absolutely loved my experience at salon Mink! I had hair down to my back and wanted to do a short bob, they definitely delivered. My stylist Danielle did a fantastic job, she checked in frequently during my haircut and was so positive and fun to be around. She got the exact look I wanted! I’ll definitely be back for sure :)

** ASTONISHING ** experience ahead.. WOW!!! My +/- 60mi haircation at Mink was nothing less than astonishing. Upon walking in for my pre confirmed booking lieu of my men’s haircut, I was warmly greeted by a bubbly receptionist. After getting my appointment confirmed and in Que I was offered either champagne or water. Obviously I defaulted to bubbly. Once my stylist was prepared (minutes early I may add) I was introduced to Corey- with a warm welcome and assurance. I felt like Corey and I were best friends immediately rather than client-customer. He GENUINELY cared about my vision of outcome when it came to my hair. And I really admired this; considering I get a fairly average men’s tight combover cut. However, Corey made my style feel unique, tailored, and thoughtful. All pleasantries aside… MY HAIR LOOKS A M A Z I N G!!!! After showing a hybrid of Bradley Cooper and Ronald Regan with a few hints of my own, Corey was able to perfectly harness my envision of a 10/10 haircut.. I cannot express enough how impressive, diplomatic and considerate this entire process was. I honestly cannot wait to return. MUST VISIT MINK!!!

Erin ROCKS! New Year’s resolution was to set the box color down and show my mane some more love this year. Erin kickstarted that journey for me with one of the hardest colors to achieve on dark hair (ash brown balayage) and knocked it out of the park. I’ve already gotten so many compliments and I’m happy I found a wonderful hairstylist in San Marcos.

Samantha is just amazing! I recently moved to the area and was in need of a hair-reset. I walked in to my appointment unsure because I had a BIG ask—to take my (mostly at home dyed) red/copper hair back to my normal brown/blond. Samantha guided me through the process and set some realistic expectations. I was ready to leave with my hair as a work in progress with one or two more appointments to get me where I wanted to go. Somehow, Samantha got me all the back to my more natural hair in that one sitting. She is extremely skilled!

I had high hopes for this salon as my first experience went really well. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about my second visit. I received a choppy haircut with uneven layers and was overcharged for color services that were not performed (charged for a partial balayage but only received toner & small highlights in face framing money pieces). Tried to kindly reach out to the hairstylist to make it right but did not receive a response. Had to go to another stylist to fix.
